I don’t want the sandboxing to be mandatory! Some software inherently doesn’t work in a sandbox, or works less well. A good distribution format should still cover those use-cases, the user just needs to be informed about the capabilities of what they install. Especially on Linux, which is supposed to be about user-empowerment.
