Hacker Uncovers How to Turn Traffic Lights Green with Flipper Zero (thedrive.com)

From the video one does not need a flipper zero to do this. They just need the IR LED's from a camera and a way to pulse them at 10 HZ low priority, 12 HZ medium priority and 14 HZ high priority after disabling the daylight sensor that disables the LED's. And obviously don't get caught doing this.

This has been well-known to the Cannonballing community for quite some time. That's a group that's a little more willing than most to get caught in exchange for competitive advantage in Cannonball.

I have seen people flash their headlights at a specific frequency to get those systems to trigger.

They are very old and should be replaced with modern tech of you don't want them abused.

This is called a Chrome Box and it's been around since the golden age of phreaking and hacking in the 1980's. Nothing new here.
