I need visa sponsorship in the UK. I am Brazilian, based in Manchester, and currently working for a major gambling company. I want to move away from the gambling industry and am looking for a new challenge, as I no longer feel motivated.I am an easy-going person who loves reading and learning, and I can pick up any technology quickly. I have nearly 6+ years of experience. Backend/platform software engineer with 6 years of experience building regulated, high-reliability systems across payments, fraud prevention, compliance automation, data services and observability. Strong production background in C#/.NET, Python, RabbitMQ, MongoDB, Hazelcast, Docker, cloud environments and OpenTelemetry. Experienced in designing robust APIs, distributed workflows, authentication/session architecture, performance-critical data access, monitoring and internal tooling. Comfortable working with data scientists, product teams and engineers to turn ambiguous, high-risk problems into production systems with measurable impact. If you live in Switzerland, you might like to know that many of the self-checkouts in the MIGROS chain were built by me (everything from the physical assembly to the hardware and software written in chaotic .NET COBOL).
