I could not agree more. You might love him, you might hate him. But he was a fixture in the Golden Age of Personal Computing.


He was definitely controversial, as evidenced by the rating on the grandfather post.


Not sure if it's about him being controversial, or about him commenting on the industry but not being a part of it in a sense that e.g. Dennis Ritchie or Steve Jobs were. (Could be both.)
