The number of people hurt by side-loading must be dramatically smaller than the number of people hurt by malware, scams, nonsense, and adware distributed in the Play Store. Like… what, 3 orders of magnitude?
Also: security has plenty of nuance, sure. I’m not a politician, but I propose we don’t allow them to legislate things they don’t understand.
