Interestingly, ios has added more and more permission toggles over time.

They're not very fine-grained[0], but they do allow toggling per-application access.

[0] which is kind-of a shame but avoids getting overwhelmed



Interestingly they've been adding permissions over time. Now you have to approve apps for location, contacts, calendar, reminders, photos, microphone, background data access and probably some other things I've forgotten.

Some of these are just new features, but others like microphone access have been added to old APIs.
